Sample site plan for ITC280 students Bill Newman bill@newmanic.com Here is a listing of the site plan of the ITC280 site, as an example of a site plan page for students of the ITC280 class: The ITC280 site exists to provide information for the students of the class. The site is NOT membership based, (although the sites the students in class build will need to be) in that the pages are currently public, and require no login. Plan would be to make it membership based if the class goes a second quarter, and provision would be made for all former students to have continual access to the site, after attending class. The ITC280 class site will provide access to the examples critical for students to have working models for their site pages. These will be linked in the "lessons" pages, which will allow the dissemination of information NOT covered in our book! The site itself is hosted by dreamhost.com, and excellent resource for PHP sites. The site example pages are tested on the zephir server for Seattle Central, but to assured continuation of the site, it was decided to host the site away from Seattle Central. The only database connectivity required for site itself, (not the examples) is the database connection on the "links" page. This database is an Access database hosted offsite, on newmanic.com, and is connected to via ASP. General details of the database tables are given on the "pagedesc.txt" page, also linked from the "const.php" sample page for the class.
